Installation Notes
- • Measure drum diameter — replace if worn beyond discard limit
- • Inspect and replace anchor pins and bushings if worn
- • Clean all contact surfaces — remove rust, scale, and old lining debris
- • Verify return spring tension — replace if fatigued
- • Apply brake shoe grease to anchor pin contact points only — keep friction surface dry
- • Adjust brake slack adjuster to achieve correct pushrod travel
- • Perform 10–15 moderate stops from 30 mph to bed in friction material
- • Re-inspect brake adjustment after bed-in procedure
